Solas delivers market leading investor education and training services to self-directed investors and traders. We combine top-rated trading and training technology with the most comprehensive investor education material developed in house or sourced worldwide.

We have dedicated training facilities in Dublin and Cork. All training facilities are equipped with powerful workstations with dual flat screen trading monitors, advanced projection equipment, high speed broad band, and comfortable break out areas.

Our investment education products range from 1/2 day Investor Workshops, Full Day Courses on Technical Analysis to 4 month duration Active Trader Training Programs. The active trader program is aimed at developing skills to become full time professional traders. We allocate our capital to each trainee trader.

Stephen, a qualified engineer, formed Solas Financial Sept 2004. Stephen is an active investor and trader in equities, futures and options. Prior to forming Solas Financial, from 1996 - 2004 Stephen served as operations director of Trade Signal Corporation Limited which develops and delivers quantitative futures systems and derivatives analysis to institutional and retail futures traders. It products are licensed by over 80 U.S. futures brokers and some of the world's largest derivatives exchanges. The business was sold to a US based futures brokerage in 2004. Stephen is married with two kids, Jack and Emma, enjoys cycling, fishing and reading.

Micheal, an economics graduate of UCC, Micheal has extensive experience in the financial services business having worked with Bank of Ireland Life and Pensions as an investment advisor. Prior to joining BOI Micheal spent 3 years as a futures markets technical analyst with Trade Signal Corporation where he was jointly responsible for the firms widely syndicated fundamental and technical analysis futures newsletter. Micheal is an active short term trader. When he is not trading Micheal enjoys football and is very active in the GAA.
