Key Features of the Active Trader Training Programme
The Training Programme has 4 major components:

1. The Training and Education Process

Phase 1
Training is everything, and practice makes perfect. New traders initially undertake a 3 day in house training programme where we go through the technical analysis techniques used and how to use the trading platform to place orders and manage risk. Once trainees are comfortable with and have demonstrated a proficiency in using the trading platform your live €25,000 trading account is activated to allow you to trade live during the course and from home.

Getting you to a stage where you are capable of using the trading platform, understanding the trading concepts and the risk management techniques is they first key milestone. This allows the real hands on learning process to begin.

Phase 2
The next phase of the in house training is delivered approximately 2 weeks after the initial training. This 2 day classroom session mixes theory and live trading, the early part
of each day focuses on technical analysis techniques and risk management practices, the latter part of the sessions are all about placing live trades and putting the technical analysis theory into live, real time practice.

Phase 3
Phase 3 is delivered on agreed dates c. 2 months into the training programme. In this phase we review all the theory, expand on our technical analysis techniques, get more sophisticated on placing orders i.e. getting paid for order flow to reduce commissions rates even further. Phase 3 is usually delivered by a trader from our US trading and training partner Keystone Trading who initially developed the course material.

2. Ongoing Mentoring and Support
All participants in the ATTP are provided with online access to a real time mentoring service. The trading day starts with a morning conference call via a dedicated live chat room where our trading partners, Keystone Trading go through what they see will effect the market and what to look out for during the trading session. During the session you have live access to real time commentary and prior to you making a trade you are encouraged to describe the reason and the rationale for the investment, e.g what is your profit target and where your risk control is?

3. Risk Management
Active trading and investing is all about active management, tight risk control and capital preservation. Knowing how much money to place on each trade and what value you have at risk is everything when you are an active trader or investor. New traders tend to want to risk too much capital at an early stage. The ATTP takes a very structured approach to risk management and participants are allowed to increase their capital allocation on each trade once they demonstrated a verifiable ability to manage risk, lock in profits and produce consistent trading results.

4. Low Costs and Access to Trading Capital
Keeping costs to a minimum is absolutely key to successful short term trading; your rates of trading will be at institutional levels, $1.25  per 1000 shares. With smart order routing where you get paid for order flow you should reduce you trading costs even further.
Capital, we provide the trading capital to each participant on the programme, this removes the barrier to fund the USA regulatory $25,000 minimum yourself. We absorb any losses on this capital so you can focus on the learning and education process. Traders who demonstrate consistent profitability can apply to have their capital allocation increased with an agreed profit share.
